• Tell us a little bit about your background
I´m a graphic designer from Mendoza, Argentina, i started to draw when i was a child, always looking in
a pen and a piece of paper for a new world of colors and different characters.
• How did you get your start in Character Design or When did you start drawing
I can´t remember when i started to draw, i was so young!, but i started in character design just like 3 years
ago. I was looking for a new world and i found that a lot of people was creating characters with great
ideas and techniques so i decided to start walking that path and make my own characters.
• Who are your main inspirations / What are your influences
I get my inspirations from TV, Music, Cinema, and most of all from life. I love a lot of artists like Malota,
Gary Baseman, Caty Estrada, Tim Biskup, etc... and a lot of artists that i know from flickr.
• Could you talk about your process “how do you create a character from start to end”
i have and idea of a character in my head for several days, and one day i took a pen and a piece of
paper, draw a simple sketch, and then i use a scanner and Adobe Illustrator to paint and vectorize the
idea.
• How would you describe your style
fresh, simple and colorfull, i always try to use strong colors and simple lines.
• What software do you use
Adobe Illustrator CS3, sometimes Photoshop.
• Any words you would like to pass it to new comer designer
Try to look for your style without stress.
• If you had an unlimited budget for one creative activity, what would you create or do
i want to create a big character, maybe inflatable, so the people can walk inside and look how the
characters are inside.
• Which exhibition was the most impressive among those you have participated in
A phobia exhibition in pictoplasma this year, with a lot of moytoy artists.
